La presidenta del Partido Verde de Argentina, Silvia Vazquez fue designada como directora de Asuntos Ambientales del Ministerio de Relaciones Exteriores.

The president of the Green Party of Argentina, Silvia Vazquez was appointed as director of Environmental Affairs of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, International Trade and Worship of the Argentine Nation.

Silvia Vazquez, president and founder of the Green Party of the Argentine Republic, assumed the direction of Environmental Affairs of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, International Trade and Worship.

In a ceremony held at the San Martín Palace, the Chancellor, Felipe Solá introduced the brand-new director. Silvia highlighted that “Our commitment to the environmental, sustainable development and #Climatic Change agenda is a priority due to an ethical imperative, a need for the subsistence of Life threatened on our planet, an unrestricted defense of our human rights and an unavoidable requirement of foreign policy . Thank you Felipe Solá for your trust. I am proud to be part of your team Alberto Fernández Cristina Fernandez de Kirchner ”. 

Silvia began her political militancy with the return of democracy, in 1983. She was already a lawyer received at the UBA and soon she was teaching political law as a teacher at the University of Lomas de Zamora. With her great convictions, she reached the post of secretary-rapporteur of the Social Legislation Commission in the senate of the province of Buenos Aires, and was a member between 1985-1987 of the Villa Dominico-Avellaneda Sub-Committee and the Civic Union Committee Radical de Avellaneda. 

Between 1985 and 1989 she was a member of the Women's Commission of the Committee of the Province of Buenos Aires of the UCR. Then in the period between 1993 and 2001 she completed two terms as national legislator for the Radical Civic Union. There he served as 1st Vice-President of the Commission on Natural Resources and Conservation of the Human Environment, and Secretary of the Culture Commission (1993-1995). 

Between 2003 and 2007, he worked at the Secretary of Culture, Sports and Tourism of the Municipality of Vicente López. There he created the Lumiton museum. In 2007, he was presented to the legislative elections by the Concertación Party, winning the position of National Deputy for the province of Buenos Aires. In 2008, allied with Kirchnerism, she resigned from the Concertación block and formed a monobloc called the Concertación Party - FORJA. 

In 2014 he founded and presides over the Argentine Green Party to affirm human rights, the defense of the environment and democracy, taking the Earth Charter, Laudato Sí and Perón's letter to the peoples and governments of the world as doctrinal bases. 1972. 

In 2020 she was appointed by Foreign Minister Felipe Solá, as Director of Environmental Affairs of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, International Trade and Worship of the Argentine Nation.
