Parliamentary Candidates in Huye and Kamonyi Elected

The Democratic Green Party of Rwanda is pleased to inform its members and the public that it concluded district meetings for party members in Huye and Kamonyi districts on 17th and 18th February 2018. Party members also had an opportunity to elect two parliamentary candidates, both male and female, who will represent those districts. They also elected district committee leaders.

DGPR Concluded Consultative meetings and trainings in Rubavu and Karongi Districts

The Democratic Green Party of Rwanda successfully held consultative meetings and trainings for party members in Rubavu and Karongi districts on 28th January 2018. During the consultative meetings, members elected two parliamentary candidates, both male and female, who will represent those districts.

C’est avec une grande stupéfaction et une profonde indignation que les responsables de la Fédération des Verts d’Afrique (FeVA), ont vu à travers les médias, des images choquantes et insoutenables des actes d’esclavagisme en Libye. Ces images mettent en exergue une vente aux enchères de ressortissants africains originaires des pays membres de la CEDEAO vendus comme du bétail par des nationaux Libyens. Un trafic d’être humain, ignoble et digne d’une époque révolue. Qualifiés de crime contre l’humanité, ces actes sont passibles de la Cour Pénale Internationale (CPI). Les auteurs, co-auteurs et complices doivent y répondre devant celle-ci.

COP23 Outcomes

A Global Greens overview of COP23 held in Bonn, Germany in November 2018. COP23 focused on creating rules for implementing the Paris Agreement. The key outcome of this COP’s Fijian Presidency is to get nearly 200 countries to agree to use the Pacific tradition of Talanoa - a process of inclusive, participatory and transparent dialogue - for working through the delicate, and at times contentious, details of implementing the Paris Agreement.
