Against Nuclear Energy in the Americas

Background

Six nuclear power plants exist today in the Americas: two in Argentina, one in Mexico and three in Brazil. There are governmental projects to build nuclear power plants in Venezuela and eight more in Brazil.

Resolution

The Global Greens are strongly against the use of nuclear energy, and the implementation and construction of new reactors in the Americas. In its place, we suggest the use of alternative energy sources that produce clean energy.
